I SURVIVED THE 2012 END-OF- THE-WORLD PROPHECY!
Honestly i believed in it 50/50.
But even when it did not happen, im glad to be home for Christmas this year (:
Coz i probably would have been bored to death in Northampton alone.
For me, 2012 would be about my new life in United Kingdom.
And the new people i bring into my life.
My ex-roommate, Wei Chen and
current housemates, Jocelyn and Shirley (:
From my housemates, what i learnt would be the random things like, how i can survive in London, taking the bus, buy cheap Muller (a yogurt brand), use self-checkout counter etc. etc. I can say that even when i am emotionally more stable than them, i am an idiot when it comes to daily things. I can sit with them and listen to them (not giving opinions, that i suck in) or share their emotions and they would help me out like borrowing me an egg or cook me instant noodles when we are all hungry. In a way, we helped each other out, so even though our personalities or totally different from each other, we still like living with each other. Oh and even between classes, we are able to fill each other in thru Whatsapp LOL.
From my ex-roommate would be someone that brings me amusement and cheerfulness. Yet sometimes when it is just me and her, she will be rather a serious person. As i know quite a lot about her, she once said that she has to murder me before our A-Level Course ends so that her secret will be safe LMAO. She is so innocent and kind that some of our college mate will tend to tease her and bully her for abit, which usually ends ugly. Even with a crying face, she will pull herself back together as soon as she can, or make up some excuses to deter the awkwardness. My role will be, to look after her in ways that i can and to show her the true nature of human HEHS.
This would be my partner, Ryan.
I didnt know i was his partner until he says so actually. The one thing i will always remember is during our first dinner, and i went to sit with my friend and the rest of these guys, he asked why am i not mixing with the girls. After the guys (who ate amazingly fast and totally inconsiderate) left me alone as i always was, he told me to try to talk to the girls. Even though it was rather an awkward thing to do, i did. And earned myself a few close friends, including my housemates. We used to have the exact same timetable, so we studied together and did work together. During study halls, we would ask each other questions until the supervisor asked us to be quiet (he cannot whisper, at all hahaha) or when we are bored with studying, i will download games for him to play. Honestly, i wasnt much of a partner to him, but having someone to go through the short and rushing course together was......reassuring? Unfortunately, for the second year, we have a totally different timetable.

The most of us AS January's.
The rest of the ASJs and my relationship, is not exactly what it is supposed to be. We were supposed to be always hanging out with one another, and always talking together, or do things like a whole bunch of good friends would. But no, i tend to avoid talking with them in class or in public. When they talk, i listen only because i am sitting with them but nothing more. They never bothered to ask me to go anywhere with them, just conveniently ask someone else to mention about it to us and expect us to consider invited. They want nothing to do with us, and I feel the same about them. When they are friendly i will response in the same manner, but when they conveniently left me out I didnt knew they existed as well.
It was, a sad kind of friendship.
I had close to nothing with them.
So antisocial or not, I stick with my housemates the most.
Our senior, Edwin.
My friendship with him will never have existed if it was not for my ex-roommate. And if he wasnt that unfriendly (or so it seemed to me). One way or another, this senior reminds me of Hao Jian a little at the beginning. But then i realised he is so much nicer than Hao Jian :P Since he is not really a well-known senior, he only visits us and one more Chinese house every time he comes back to Northampton. So he became our regular guest and movie buddy. And someone who never let us pay for him, even when he is almost broke. He is the person who ALWAYS asks me to drink and always making bets so that i will have to drink if i lose, just because he wants to see how different i will be when i am drunk. After that he would tell me how it will be fine since he will be there to look after us. Somehow, I know i can trust him.
